Crispy Crunchy Onion Rings

Ingredients

  • 3 large Vidalia onions, cut into 3/8″ slices
  • 2 1/2 C self-rising flour
  • 2 C panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 1/2 C club soda
  • 1/2 C fine cornmeal
  • 1 Tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 Tsp paprika
  • 2 Tsp seasoned salt, to taste
  • 1 Tsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 Tsp ground black pepper
  • oil for frying
